This site contains no advertising trackers. It measures its audience with Google Analytics only if you agree to it. There is no form: you contact us by email, from your own mail client.

A single technical cookie, named NEXT_LOCALE, is set when you switch language. It remembers your preference (French, Dutch or English) for one year and contains no other information. It is not used for tracking and does not require consent under Belgian regulation.

If you accept audience measurement, Google Analytics (Firebase) sets the _ga and _ga_WC6MC0E168 cookies, kept for 13 months. If you decline, none of these cookies are set. Your choice is remembered in your browser for 6 months, then asked again.

With your consent, we use Google Analytics for Firebase (Google Ireland Limited) to produce visit statistics: pages viewed, visit duration, device type, approximate country and traffic source. Google Analytics does not store your full IP address, and advertising signals are disabled: this data is never used for advertising.

These statistics are kept for up to 14 months. Google may process them in the United States, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

You can withdraw your consent at any time with the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page.

Our host (Google Ireland Limited, Firebase App Hosting service) keeps standard technical logs (truncated IP address, pages visited, timestamp) for security and operational purposes, for a limited time. Refresh Story does not use these logs for any other purpose.

When you write to us, we keep your message and contact details for as long as needed to handle your request and, where applicable, the business relationship that follows. We do not pass them on to anyone.

Under the GDPR, you may request access to, correction or deletion of data concerning you by writing to herve@refreshstory.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
